OpenAI Unveils ‘Deep Research’ AI Agent

Sam Altman, OpenAI’s CEO, has also hinted that Artificial General Intelligence (AGI) could be a reality within a few years. He emphasized the importance of a global regulatory framework to mitigate risks and establish safety standards as AI becomes increasingly capable.


France Invests €109 Billion to Lead AI Development

At the AI Action Summit in Paris, French President Emmanuel Macron announced a €109 billion investment package aimed at strengthening France’s position in the global AI race. The initiative focuses on:

U.S. Vice President JD Vance made his first international public appearance at the AI Action Summit, promoting America’s open and innovation-driven approach to AI.

The summit brought together top global leaders and tech executives to discuss AI’s geopolitical impact, with China, the US, and European nations weighing in on regulatory frameworks and strategic priorities. The US emphasized the need to avoid overregulation that could slow AI advancements, setting up a contrast with Europe’s more cautious approach.


Nokia Appoints AI & Data Center Expert as New CEO

In a major corporate shakeup, Justin Hotard, former EVP and General Manager of Intel’s Data Center and AI Group, has been named CEO and President of Nokia.

Hotard’s appointment signals Nokia’s increased focus on AI-driven solutions, especially in telecommunications and network infrastructure. His extensive experience in AI, data centers, and cloud computing is expected to shape Nokia’s future strategies and strengthen its competitive edge in the evolving AI market.
